Walmart Release Notes

General Walmart Marketplace release notes, operational changes, business updates, and platform announcements

Walmart Release Notes Monitoring

Walmart Marketplace teams often need visibility into more than API changes alone. This page is built for Walmart Release Notes monitoring so you can track operational updates, business announcements, policy shifts, and platform changes from one place.

Reliable Walmart Release Notes monitoring makes it easier to stay ahead of operational changes that could affect seller workflows, fulfillment expectations, catalog processes, or business planning. Instead of checking scattered updates manually, your team gets one feed for the changes that matter.

The benefit of Walmart Release Notes release notes monitoring is simple: your team gets a repeatable way to watch changes, evaluate risk, and act before upstream updates turn into operational surprises. Walmart Release Notes issues or outages?

Walmart Marketplace issue or outage? Soon we will add direct status monitoring alongside Walmart Release Notes monitoring. For now, go to the official Walmart developer or marketplace status resources. In the future, we plan to detect operational issues even before public status pages are updated.

Set up eligible WFS items faster with GTIN exemptions

You can now request a GTIN exemption for eligible, Walmart-fulfilled items. This gives you more flexibility during item setup when you don’t have a product identifier. Exemptions are especially useful for items that don’t have a standard GTIN or UPC, like private labels, handmade jewelry or Resold items.

Action Required: Change AxleHire carrierName to Jitsu in Shipping API requests

The shipping carrier AxleHire is rebranding to Jitsu. If you're working with AxleHire and utilizing Walmart APIs, you should proactively update the carrierName field in all relevant Shipping API requests to "Jitsu" immediately. This update is critical to avoid service disruptions and ensure seamless order processing. After July 1, 2026, Shipping API requests that still reference “AxleHire” as the carrierName value will fail validation, resulting in unsuccessful API calls and blocked order status updates associated with this carrier. Late Shipment Rate is now a measurable performance standard

To support a more reliable customer experience, Late Shipment Rate will become an accountable seller performance standard at the end of July. This means that you’re expected to maintain a Late Shipment Rate of 5% or less  to remain in good standing. By shipping orders on time, you help reduce delivery delays to ensure customers receive their orders when expected. The first carrier scan helps confirm that an order was handed off on time, so it’s important to ship orders by the Expected Delivery Date and ensure tracking is updated correctly. If you self-fulfill orders, you can track your Late Shipment Rate and identify potential issues using the Performance dashboard. Learn more

Update to Expected Ship Date calculations

We’ve updated the Expected Ship Date calculation for seller-fulfilled orders. If your fulfillment lag time settings are set to greater than zero, the Expected Ship Date will be calculated based on the order date, regardless of order cutoff time. For sellers with a lag time setting of 0, there is no change to how the Expected Ship Date is calculated. Here's an example scenario showing the update: Your lag time is set to 1, and your cutoff time is 2pm. You receive an order at 3pm on Mon, July 6 (after cutoff time). Previously, your Expected Ship Date would have been Wed, July 8. After the update, your Expected Ship Date shifts to Tues, July 7. This update ensures more consistent and reliable delivery promises to customers. We suggest reviewing your lag time settings and making any necessary adjustments to ensure you meet the updated expectations. Learn more
