New USPS hazardous materials noncompliance fee for Ship with Walmart

Effective July 12, 2026, USPS may assess a $50 noncompliance fee on commercial packages containing hazardous materials (hazmat) when required information or markings are missing or incorrect, including the service type code, service icon, barcode banner text or U.S. Department of Transportation markings. USPS also charges a $7.50 hazmat handling fee per package for Priority Mail or Priority Mail Express. There is no hazmat handling fee for USPS Ground Advantage, however, the $50 noncompliance fee may still apply. These are USPS, not Walmart, fees. Paying a fee does not make prohibited materials mailable or allow use of a service that isn’t permitted for the contents. When buying a USPS label through Ship with Walmart, identify hazmat accurately and follow all USPS service, packaging, marking, labeling and transportation requirements. Learn more

More approved carriers available for seller-fulfilled shipping

Walmart Marketplace has added eight parcel carriers to its approved carrier list for seller-fulfilled orders: UniUni, SpeedX, Exelot, SwiftX, TForce Final Mile, GOFO, OSM Worldwide and DoorDash. Metropolitan Warehouse & Delivery is also available for freight shipments. Learn more

If you’re currently using Shipping Templates for your items, we’ve made it easier for you to migrate your items to Simplified Shipping Settings and optimize your delivery promises. The updated experience lets you configure and ship using multiple carriers while staying protected. You control your carriers, shipping speeds–such as value, standard, expedited or rush, regions served and shipping charges, while Simplified Shipping Settings automatically calculates transit times and chooses the best fulfillment center based on your configurations. If you’re an eligible brand owner, you can now combine images, videos and text to showcase your brand story and give customers additional product information on the product detail page. This information helps customers understand your brand and product better, increasing conversion rates. Adding Brand Highlights is a self-service process: You can create, manage and update your content in Seller Center. Apply content to up to 500 items at a time —and revise it as needed. Learn more

Book Walmart Cross Border Imports sooner with Advanced Scheduling

You can now book Walmart Cross Border Imports Full Container Load (FCL) shipments up to 60 days ahead of your Cargo Ready Date. When capacity is available, you’ll be able to reserve ocean space in advance. Rates will become fixed 10 days before origin container yard gate-in, and you can update your Cargo Ready Date up to three times before your transport plan is assigned. This gives you greater flexibility to align bookings with production schedules, secure ocean capacity earlier during high-demand periods and plan deliveries with greater confidence.

You can choose a growth strategy or describe what you’re looking for to receive personalized recommendations based on your business goals, including opportunities to expand existing categories and add Customer Favorites. New Key insights help you make more informed assortment decisions by explaining why an item is recommended, highlighting relevant trends, and suggesting the next best action. This helps you quickly identify the best opportunities for your business. New policy for inactive Seller Center accounts

Walmart Marketplace accounts that remain inactive for 455 consecutive days may be suspended under our Trust and Safety policy. This policy helps ensure that Marketplace accounts remain active and secure, reducing the risk of abandoned accounts being compromised. To give you every opportunity to re-engage, Walmart will send e-mail and SMS notifications before any suspension occurs. If your account is suspended due to inactivity, you can submit an appeal within 90 days to request reactivation. Accounts suspended without a resolved appeal may be terminated. Learn more

Update to our suspension and termination policy

We’re updating our suspension and termination policy to clarify what may happen when a Walmart Marketplace account remains suspended. Walmart Marketplace reserves the right to terminate qualifying seller accounts that remain suspended beyond a reasonable threshold without a successful appeal or reinstatement. If your account is suspended, review the reason for the suspension and take the appropriate steps to rectify it or submit an appeal. Learn more
